James-“Can you be able to start packing to move by these next three months?

I got the job.”
I still am in total shock, but I am so happy to say: We are moving to Colorado!
James had applied to this job back in about May, and it has been a pretty slow process from there. We felt pretty confident that he got the job, but now knowing for sure is just so surreal! Just looking around our house now, I am so glad I have three months to pack everything. It is just so different from the first time we moved up here. James already had all of his stuff from his house packed thanks to the help of his amazing parents, and I only had to worry about packing up my bedroom and even then it wasn’t any furniture. So this will definitely be an experience for us!
When we were making our Texas/Colorado trip this past August we did a little bit of apartment browsing just in case he did get the job. We fell in love with a particular complex and it is just everything we wanted! I am so excited for the many changes that will ensue, new apartment, hopefully finding our dream job, possibly expanding our family, and just making so many more memories with my best friend. Nonetheless, it is really bittersweet leaving Utah. I mean, I knew moving here we would only be living here while he was finishing school. But after living here, spending time with his (I guess technically mine too!) amazing family, getting married to James here, and all of the great friends I have made through the church it is so sad to be moving away from here. I mean, this is where I truly found God and was baptized and it’s sad I won’t be in the same close-knit, comforting environment that Utah has to offer. What is great about the apartments in Colorado though, is we have our church literally behind the complex which will make for a nice walk in the warmer months!
As you can see from my scrambled post, this is a very bittersweet announcement for us! I know that God has blessed us tremendously and us moving is only going to open up more doors for us.
This post is my first all text one (I think?) but it seriously is just me writing on a whim here. This news was not expected today + I love that it did! I do plan on blogging during the move, it will help me keep everything as a memory because this will hopefully be where we settle down and raise our family, fingers crossed!
Anywho, I know that with great confidence God helped us with this. This move is truly going to be a blessing + I cannot wait to share it all with y’all!
