2 Weeks of Back to School Lunch Ideas for Kids

Back-to-school season is here! I still cannot believe I will have a daughter in Kindergarten. It hasn’t fully hit me and I feel like my to-do list is a mile long. School supplies, school schedules, lunch ideas, and after-school activities, it all is a lot to get through. I wanted to put together a list of lunch ideas to help fellow parents get through the back-to-school season, one thing at a time.

Lunch is the biggest part of my daughter’s day and what she looks forward to the most haha. I want to make this special for her, without taking up a lot of effort and getting burnout by week two.

The best way to stay on a high with school lunches is to have it mapped out. Make a week or two-week meal plan where you alternate lunch ideas and can prevent yourself from losing momentum. Here are two weeks’ worth of lunch ideas that you can alternate with however you wish!

Week One:

Monday: cut out peanut butter and jelly sandwich, watermelon, yogurt

Tuesday: pizza, apples, crackers

Wednesday: chicken noodle soup (crockpot recipe here), oyster crackers, carrots and ranch

Thursday: alfredo pasta and broccoli, pirate’s booty puff snacks, strawberries

Week Two:

Monday: Beef stew, cornbread, oranges

Tuesday: Quesadilla, avocado, applesauce pouch

Wednesday: Turkey and cheese roll up, tomatoes, chips

Thursday: Chicken nuggets, cheese stick, perfect peanut butter bar

Friday: chili (recipe here), grapes, fruit snacks
