I’ve done it. If you’re breast pumping mom (especially exclusively) you might have cried over spilled milk too.
I set my alarm for 3 am, just had a thirty minute pumping session, and that precious liquid gold is now ready for baby for the next few hours.

I’m in a few moms groups and have been told by a few nursing moms that they don’t know how I do it. They can’t imagine having to get up every 3-4 hours (thankfully I’m now at 6) to pump, wash parts and bottles, feed baby, and repeat.
But my response is, how could I not?
I feel so blessed that my body is still making that liquid gold for our growing baby. Nursing may not have worked out, but she is getting so much nutrition from it. Moments like this, make me put my pump together with pride.
Wanna know why I have cried over spilled milk? Because if I don’t have that bottle ready, there’s no alternative. I can’t just get her to nurse and we be okay. I have to bottle up that liquid gold and not waste a drop. It’s been 10 months and going strong for us and I’m so proud how far we’ve come in this journey!
Exclusively pumping mamas, I want to offer you encouragement. You are providing for your baby and giving them that precious liquid gold in one way or another.
