DIY Instagram Wall

​I think it’s fair to say I am photo obsessed. I love having photos around me because they motivate me and remind me of the many blessings in my life. Since I work from home, and plan on going back to school, I need my office space to be inspiring and motivate me to get my work done! Being a military wife, James is constantly sending me photos of his travels and I love printing them out to put up where I can see them on the daily.

In this post, I’ll show you how to make your own Instagram grid for your home office to keep your spirits up and remind you that all your hard work in school will pay off!

​First, I select my pictures I want on my wall. Use any online editing site to crop your pictures to squares. Make sure your dimensions will be same width by same height, to get the Instagram effect. I put them in the photo editing website, sized a blank canvas to 8.5 by 11 inches, and then sized my photos to 520px by 520px. This allowed me to save paper and put two photos per paper for when I print them out. You’ll get high-quality prints—every time! I am surprised how amazing even my phone pictures turned out.

I pick my top favorite 9 pictures to be in my grid and send them over to print on my HP Deskjet 3636. I am a very visual person, so I like to lay them all out and arrange them how I think they will flow best. I created my own quote picture and I used it to help tie the rest of my photos together.

​Do y’all think there is a more perfect printer for my style? HP has 3 cool colors – Vibrant Red, Dragonfly Blue, Sporty Purple.
