I am absolutely loving the apartment we moved in to! It’s a two bedroom, two bath, with an extra little zen room that serves as James’ office. It is so much more space then what we are used to and filling it has taken some time! The spare bedroom is currently working as a storage room for things I either don’t know where to put or haven’t gone through yet. Basically, its a room full of boxes haha. We had so much help moving, it’s been a major blessing! My in-laws actually came down with us in their own car to help us move in and I don’t know what we would have done without them! I’m super excited to spend Thanksgiving with them and my sister in law, it is so nice to have family around at this time.
Another huge blessing has been our church. I called our bishop before we even moved here and gave him a heads up on our move. We knew coming here we would have some help from our fellow church members, but what we got we were NOT prepared for. We had so much help it was insane! James’ parents who have been members for years and years have never seen so many people show up to help. We literally got everything moved in in about an hour. I was super excited to go to church on Sunday, but kind of nervous because I only have ever been to a married student ward. (except when visiting the in-law’s church). I was a bit afraid I wouldn’t make friends or just feel like the odd person out. I was very surprised by how friendly everyone was. It was a definite difference from our old church because it was so loud, everyone was talking to each other and there was just such a good vibe I got from it. Relief Society was super interesting because of how interactive it was. I just felt the spirit so strongly in that room and in that moment, I cannot even begin to explain it!
Fast forward to today (Wednesday), I am extremely excited for these upcoming holidays. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, Saturday is our two year anniversary of dating {am I allowed to still get excited and celebrate it even though we are married? eh, who cares, it means that we get to go on an extra date so I’m not questioning it!} and then Christmas, woohoo! I have so much to be thankful for and I definitely will have to make a list. This year has been a roller coaster + I am loving every second of it! I know that with God by our side, we can overcome anything He throws at us.
Also, I am super excited for Black Friday! Last year was my first year to actually go out shopping, and it just confirmed to me I enjoy it better behind my computer screen haha. I love online shopping and I’m looking forward to all the great deals!
